Tonight Im buzzing!!just have to have a wee rant bout these awesome bikes...

Admit I havent been on my DR for about 2 months,I have a wee race bike that has taken up time and have been riding the Ducati....

My son got his full licence in April & has seconded the DR & left his pocket rocket in my garage.Sam loves the DR!!

Anyway, today we went for a ride & swapped bikes.....man I love my trailie!!It is just so much fun, easy to ride, and corners like a cut cat!

Just such a great all purpose, fun bike for so little $$,Love all my bikes but this one does it all!!

just had to acknowledge yr post Helen as it resonnated with me - have had a long affair with Bimmers (and yes they're good despite what their detractors may say) - however on buying my DR650 last year - the grin factor is huge and the thought i have is ' heh I should have bought one of these long ago - could have save a lot of dosh' - hard to find the perfect bike eh - will we see you on the 2 day DBK1 in '10? cheers Aslan

Yep, I know what you mean Aslan; I was grinning from ear to ear when I finished Odlins Rd today on my DR - so much fun. Havin proper offroad tyres(D606's) on it has made so much difference and given me so much more confidence I can get thru challenging sections offroad on it!

    Cheers, Dave

First attempt at changing tyres this evening, tried using the old tube but pinched it around the rim lock. Chucked the spare tube in and i suppose ill know in a couple of hours if i suceeded! Beaded very easily.

Tip if you don't already know. To avoid pinching the tube put air in it before putting the second bead on.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

I carry a little bottle of washin up liquid with a bit of water in it - little trick soeone showed me when I did my first tyre change - seemed helpful!

A liberal squirting around the bead seemed to lube it well.
    Cheers, Dave
