How hard can it be to straighten a swingarm? Or to get a s/h one from a wrecker?

Well, thats what I would do. But then again I never had insurance...

May the bridges I burn light the way.

Do you realise how many bikers crash their bikes every week??
If a bike shop gave a courtesy bike to everyone who crashed their bike there wouldnt be any left in the shop! haha.
Its not their fault he crashed his bike.
Factory backorder means Kawasaki have run out and need to make some more.
And in no way is it the bike shops fault before people start blaming them.

Still sucks either way man. Hope you get it sorted soon.

You could always consider the extreme option of buying a "new" bike, and selling the current one once it is repaired.

Or perhaps you could ask the insurance company how much you would loose if they wrote it off? e,g. Would you take $1,000 hit in the payout if they wrote it off now?

can they use a 2nd hand one and give you the cash differance?
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

Surely it wouild be easier to repair the broken one (unless it really is rooted)?

Have you tried sourcing one yourself from the USA or looking on Aussie ebay?

Will the insurance company pay if you source it yourself? Might be able to get one from here before the end of the week, they have most parts: http://www.victorianmotorcyclewreckers.com.au/

Must be a pissy weak swingarm if it gets bent by a courier dropping it. You sure you want something that pathetic holding the back wheel on? Ask to see the "dropped and bent" one.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

Now if the bike was a Honda you'd have no problem getting parts, only the money to afford them.

Sounds like a good time to get a second bike - two bikes are better than one.

you know, just for times like this..
Ride it until the wheels fall off...

i was just thinking about that, its crazy because it does not weigh that much, so if it really is damaged the delivery man must of been trying to damage it

I thought aperillia address this issue a long time ago and went as far as say they will even pull parts off a new bike to fill orders on time , correct me if I am a wrong

I reacon they're passing the buck and forgot to order it........

"dropped it and bent it.....???!!!" Yeah right.

For starters it would have been wrapped in more than just paper...... and geez was it dropped off a bridge or something?!

I'd have called bullshit on that one.
