    Exhaust Mod

I saw a post on another forum about a mod (partial gut) to recent VFR exhaust systems:

    http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/i...howtopic=40885

I followed the instructions and wow the change is incredible!

Such an improvement with a few tools and a bit of an investment in time. I thoroughly recommend this mod to anyone who likes the stock pipes but wants to open them up a bit more. The effort is worth it!!

I'll try and get a video of mine and my flatmates VFR's this week.

Just did an oil change on Saturday, it was definately due, the tar that poured out wasn't cool... :-P

Next on the list are sprockets and chain then front tire...

Anyone know a rough price to get the Sprockets and Chain done?

Got mine done for $280 or so from memory, for the 400.

    To anyone with a VFR750:

What kind of fuel consumption do you get?
I haven't owned mine that long but its using a fairly consistent 6 - 6.5 L/100km (15km/L) which seems like quite a lot to me.

Well as you know it varies with riding style !! Style be quite liberal!
    18/9 Last fill 17.43km/l
5/9 Previous 11.9km/l Kawhia Harbour group ride
    4/9 17.68km/l
22/8 13.38km/l Hamilton Honda group ride
    19/8 15.64km/l

Need to explain tho. 1st one above was solo riding
2nd was a sprint mostly behind a CBR600 around Kawhia Harbour Rd

I would say for a carbed '750 ~15km/l tis likely be average
That gives you a range of ~287k's
That top one gave me a range of 331k's
And lowest a range of 227k's

My vfr400 would get 18-20km/L so the 750 isn't doing that bad
