Spent this morning sending out "No" letters for a position I just filled. There were about 30 odd. Last year I had not one applicant for the same job. I reckon I'm getting about 2 or 3 walk ins a week too. Definitely a lot of people looking for work out there at the moment.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

All the best for this one Joe, been a long time coming so lets hope they make the right choice this time.

jezza, mate of our has been in OZ for coming up a year now, been working a combo of mine work and building, seems they still prefer the kiwis over there own.

We need another huge earthquake to wreck a few things and spin things up a bit eh, that last one was a fizza

    Big work, and ride WA

Western Australia has just signed a $50 billion deal to supply China with LNG over the next 10years.
The Gorgon gas field will be developed off Barrow Island (50km off shore of nth west)
The accomodation camp will cost 500 million alone.
Other fields are gearing up off Karratha to accomodate a massive shortfall in energy demand.
    Like to earn big bucks?
Adv ride on your weeks off?
Skill up, base a bike at Karratha and enjoy.
    Ya heard it hear first.
(putting up with Aussies is the hardest challenge)
I'm to jaded and "over it" to hit the Pilbara again, but if your in your twenties/Thirties, are single or have a strong relationship and no kids, then look into the next big boom. Energy energy energy
Example of the frenzy going on http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/a/-...rf-50b-gorgon/
