Its just not as easy to start once they get hot. The 2 stroke only needs gear box changed every 6-8 hrs,and piston and rings every 80 hrs. The 4 stroke needs gearbox oil, motor oil and oil filter changed 6-8 hrs, plus valves adjusted every 20-30 hrs, piston and rings approx 60-80rs for trail riding. Hope this is of some use for you, Good luck ;-)
See I'm not totally cool with the flipping thing. I like my neck not broken.

    Thanks Garth that's good info...

I adore my 230, rode it on the weekend and it went perfectly, is a great bike for me apart from being heavy! I sat on a 150R in the shop and it seems to be the same height as the 230...with any luck will get to test ride one soon (fingers crossed!!)
The 230's are lovely user friendly bikes arent they?!
How did you find the 250's weight wise though Buffy?
Yeah man i loved my 230, and sometimes when Im frustrated with the 250 i wish i hadnt sold it. but then............ when all is rocking on the 250 I feel like DA MAN!!! LOL AT ME!!!!!!
250 is way lighter like waaaay way lighter, more manouverable (query spelling) bootloads more power - which is scary at times but then reverts back to OH YEAH ME DA MAAAANNNNN

Sammy i have not flipped mine yet (touch wood) although i haven't done that many hills on it either. I've seen kids flip them on the flat so its always possible. You gotta learn throttle & clutch contol.

Just make sure you change your gearbox oil regularly. I change mine after every ride, I use castrol gtx 20w-50. You can get it from the warehouse. I use castrol power 1 tts racing oil for the pre mix, with fresh petrol at 40-1 . I change piston and rings at 80 hrs on my 250r ;-)

yeah he's right. the 150R is honda's replacement for the 85 2t seeing as they stupidly stopped making the 2 strokes.

if you're comfortable on a 250r then that is the best place for u!

Easy to fix.... get a lower step seat. the 125 sx is much lighter but has no stand and the suspension not so soft.
