Just some further precautions could have helped. Two mates stopping cars in both directions for the couple of minutes it took for starters....
Ah... You're the Ginga bait?????????????????
[QUOTE=StoneY;1129422818]Well my three teenage kids werent on THAT bridge coz carver made sure he wasnt doing it near publics who may get squashed if he fell/QUOTE]
Huh? So them fellas and fellesses in cages were all safe like then? I recall a rock killing a dude on the motorway not too long ago, and that weighed 8kg. Is Carver a skinny anorexic biafrin bastard?
+1...
If it cost, then THAT is what the funding should be for.......
Another +1. Bridge blocked for 2 minutes is all it would have taken.....
Now, this post IS legend.............. He deserves a DB - As in the beer, not that other one....
Ummm...
Carries disqualification, which is mandatory. Can't divert and not be disqualified.
The fund raiser should have been for the stunt, before it happened, to get the proper permission......
Possibly. The wording is "may" have been dangerous to any person.
If he did fall onto a car passing below, that may be dangerous, no????????
I know someone with a Gold Wing Trike - betcha can't do it on that.....![]()
im with Carver and the rest on this one (im broke as hell so only get my typing support).
Its refreshing to see someone blatantly stick it to the MAN.
The world is too focking PC for my liking, with every other bastard thinking that if they whinge enough to the press/politicians they get their own way.
ooohh ooooh boyracers are noisy- kill them!!!!!!
oooohhho ooohh we want guaranteed seats on the super city council - HIKOI!!!
oooohhho oohhh o lets not smack our kids its bad mmmkay - lets waste millions in getting it right by listening to the people who DEMOCRATICALLY elected you punks into office!!!
im so far off topic now i will stop /Rant
go carver hope ya get off scott free dude!![]()
A few thoughts on this thread:
A lot of people have accused of carver winging or denying guilt ... can anybody quote this? All I remember was that he said there was a good chance that he could get out of this, not that he thinks that it's unfair and he is being persecuted. Seems a lot of people like putting words in other people's mouths
Speaking of putting things in other people's mouths, what's with all the references to prison sex? A few people perhaps speaking what's really on their mind? Frustraited perhaps?
Does anybody realise the complexity and expense of doing this legally? Hell the expense and paperwork of running motorsport legally on a track is bad enough.
I dunno. I'm not saying what carver did was right, but he wouldn't be the only person on KB who has some creative interpretations of the law. I can't see how this put any more lives at risk than those who choose to drastically exceed the speed limit regularly.
good picture there....
traffic management, advanced notification of the bridge being closed, foam on both sides, one a moving foam truck to make it safe....
traffic management plan being put in and approved too, even advertising to state the temporary closure of the bridge....
simple as eh!
