    BIKEOI Taranaki

Seems I may have landed myself a job as coordinator / organiser for the 'Naki, so:

Potential riders sign here!! with suggestions for date and route(s).

We have 3 Nat MP's cover the Taranaki region, Jonathon Young, Shane Adern and Chester Borrows. All 3 need to be aware that bikers are not going stand for these extortionate increases.

If you need / want to chat about it, PM me for my mobile number

Just for the record- Regional BIKEOI are nothing to do with BRONZ (unless BRONZ Taranaki wants to pick up on it ).

The National BIKEOI will only be a BRONZ initiative if the meeting so decides. If not it'll be a KB BIKEOI or just a plain BIKEOI. But none of that affects the regional ones.

Actually , strictly speaking, BRONZ could only mount an Auckland BIKEOI, because we're BRONZ (Auckland), and there's no time to convene a BRONZ National meeting (they take about two years !) .

Come on Anne. Do you really want to see another Cheesecutter flop?

Until Ixion has full backing from BRONZ it is just another splinter action that will have little effect.

If you dont have anything constructive to say, STFU. Ixion is setting a fine example, keep it up mate, almost all bikers are grateful

I think you need to sit back and contemplate what is needed to achieve the greater goal.

Ixion might well be getting a sense of great self gratitude at the moment but will that see us achieve our goal?

As I've already said - lets just wait and see what BRONZ says.

Indeed, though Ixion's use of offensive language on the home page of this site and elsewhere in the ACC threads is probably not a good look as far as the clean cut and educated front we are supposedly trying to present to the powers that be.

I applaud his efforts to organise things, but we must be mindful that this website as the largest motorcycling website in the country does come under scrutiny from others beside ourselves. Katman is I feel, right in the regard of keeping the language toned down and on the point of having an organised representation.
Lots of little protests will not have much effect if they result in watering down the main offensive which should be a protest ride to parliament combind with petitioning the government and attracting mass media coverage of our position.
I'm by no means suggesting that we shouldn't stage these local protests, but please don't let that be your lot, thinking that you have done your bit and not join whatever national action is planned by BRONZ.

So, now that we've got all the idle banter out of the way - what dates are we proposing and what course of action will be taken once we actually gain the attention of the MP's in question?
I'm in whatever the date as far as anything in New Plymouth goes and may also be up for a Wanganui mission.
