Cannot afford to put new shoes on the bikes....

So, I hope it doesn't rain too much between now and next weekend...
The MT90's are good but the Whanga Rd was a bit of a struggle, the bike wanted to take me for a ride, rather than the other way around....

I decided to put these tyres on the Husaberg too....they will last a long time, especially now summer is round the corner....
I guess I might be in for an entertaining time but at the end of the day, that's what we are here for....

I would average about 4000k for the rear TKC twice that for front on the Tiger and that was 50/50 gravel/road giving it stick most of the time. 8-10000k on an Anakee and the like.

Tyre thread has more opinions, worth a look.

600 and a three quarter cc...ssshhh! ACC is watchin...
I did have knobblies for the winter, I didn't really measure the Kms on those.
The MT90's should go over 10-12000Km I reckon....BUT, when riding the metal etc, the life of the tyre does decline....
I know the 990A can get over 8000Km to a rear, and that isnt being soft either....KTM1 will testify to that..

i get around 3000 - 4000, (depends on how hard i push on road) also what tyres im using, for winter i put on a dual purpose tyre, cause im mainly on road, the good thing is that knobbly's are not as expensive as road or dual tyres
Its not how fast you go, its how far you go!!

I was getting about 7000km out of a rear E-09 on the PD, I rate them as a good knobbly tyre, they work well on the road also. Those T63's Bryce is selling on trade me are supposed to be good too but I haven't tried them yet.

okay ladies - weather is looking good for the weekend

Can all the Welly bods who are meeting on Friday at 9am at the Paraparaumu BP confirm so we know who to wait for?

Also Bart - are you still planning to meet us at Ashhurst? - if so what time works for you?

What time do you Latte drinkers expect to be passing through?

I've also had thoughts of sneaking up Takapari, and meeting you guys at Apiti, but I'd better not. Should get enough riding in without doing that track.

Have just been talking with the owner of Aotuhia stn and have permission to go threw on the weekend. There may be a few of us coming out from NP. We intend to do the loop, Whanga Rd , Aotuhia and end up back at Whanga again.
