    Talking Greymouth

Fantastic event yet again, terrific fun for us Kart drivers.
Did any one find, after the last kart race, a kart rear bumper with number plate (47) on it, some over exuberant Rotax driver gave me a punt and snapped it off. It is a chrome bar which will have a broken piece of aliminum inside each end. Would most appreciate its return and I'll fix you up for the postage.
Thanks to the organisers for inviting us and the running of a great event.
    Cheers

If you're running a TM and a Rotax was keeping up you should be embarrassed with your performance

Yes you are right, a wee bit embarrasing but in my defence, I was waiting for my rear tyres to heat up before I made a spectacle of myself, new tyres next year. Great fun though, should be legal to do every Sunday!

Hey guys, thanks to all you riders/drivers for putting on a show. It run real smoothly this year and apart from a few little hiccups early in the day it was a big success. There were a few too many trips to the hospital in the morning unfortunately one of them was me. Talk about setting an example. I stalled off the start and was playing catch up on cold tyres. Spun up on the painted stop sign on the road and then became an astronaut. You would think after all these years i would know better.

Anyway, After my trip to hospital it was the first time since 1992 that I got to sit and watch all you guys. impressive stuff and something im proud to be a part of for sure.

yeah mate, i got a knock to the head, 2 broken fingers and a broken collar bone for my efforts. I was winded and couldn't lift myself off the road no matter how hard i tried. Daniel penny nearly run me over to boot. It looked worse than it really was with the stretcher and neck brace but the ambo guys were excellent and i wasnt going to argue. Im feeling rather second hand right now for sure.

on a positive side i didnt have to help pull down the circuit!!

Im gonna get a lot of shit for a long time im sure!!

1st of all I'd like to thank a couple of people for making it possible for me to race the LC in posties.
Yowling, for his last minute mechanics which got the bike running, and for the fuel mix I didnt have cos I really didnt think I'd be racing that bike (will sort you out for that)
RDjase, for stripping the entire electrics from his bike and mailing them down, the stator was the issue.
One last thanks to Mrs DC and girls for taking care of our sprog while we raced.

Brilliant day, sun burnt to prove it, an exceptionally well run meeting which had me on the 2nd row all day. Great riding by Kevin Orr and James Hoogie. and I'd have to say that the last bucket race will most likely be the only time I will ever beat ALL 3 HOOGIES.
    cheers DD
