If you're going to the Duck Pond, make sure you have a sit on Uncle B's seat.

    I've missed the chain here...

The final information thread hasn't been updated in 2 weeks.

Are we converging at parliament? What's this about parking at the stadium? Are we then walking to parliament or are the penguins coming up to the stadium to get tackled there?

Can we have a "boy" version of the information - no waffle - just the timings / facts please.

[QUOTE=Seriously though, if anyone can help with suggestions of a good cafe opposite the beehive entrance it would be appreciated. Must have an elevated perspective of the front steps and main door to the Beehive. The cafe must also have a rear door.[/QUOTE]

Croc: I know where there's a grassy knoll too, and bonus, there's a coffee shop across the road that does mint flat whites... I can also do you a deal on a nice wee tripod...

Just wonderin' from the guys here that know the lay of the land down in welly... I'm flying in on the morn of the 17th and current plan is that dogsnbikes is loaning one of his bikes for me to join the last part of the ride (picking up from the blubridge terminal)

I'm arriving in WGTN @ 10:30 and gonna cab into the cbd and have to be back @ the airport for a 4:30 flight (so by 4 @ latest really) and I'm a bit concerned with timing

    Couple of Q's
    1. Will I have time to get to an assembly point?
    2. Will I be able to get DnB's bike back 2 the ferry term and back to the airport in time for my plane (considering how much damage we might to do to wellington's transport infrastructure ) (maybe I'll be able to get a pillion back to the aiport from a kind bikie

3.am I expecting to much - and should I just make it to parliament and help out the guys there?

any advice appreciated - spent a bit of time in welly - so know the approx layout etc - but some local knowledge would be good...

    To PhantasmNZ:

The bike won't even have time to warm up in the time it takes to get from the ferry terminal to the stadium. In fact it would probably be quicker to walk to parliament than to get your gear on, start the bike and ride there.

But if you want to be part of the ride, you'd probably make it to either meeting point by 11.30ish - no doubt in plenty of time at least before the last bikes leave.
Learn basic maintenance as motorcycle boots are not comfortable for walking in

both convoys leave respective paces at 1130 so if you dont muck about and get a cab to Bluebridege you should get ou to either place in time...You will ieasily be able to hook onto the back of the convoy, esp if there are as many as is predicted.shouldnt have any trouble getting back to the airport once you are away from thorndon.... maybe a nice welly rider will pick you up from the airport( I cant sorry)
