Yip for sure, if anything can be taken out of today for those that are going to Wellington, its is possibly what it will be like getting into the Capital, but on a much lager scale.

Hope young Gooner gets the giraffe that was posted up here from Wellington, honestly the support for this ride has been amazing

We are offered a lot by Heart Children but don't take anything, there are families out there that are in way more need than we are right now. I'm sure that the giraffe will find a loving home

LOL Cheers Maha, tell "Annie" I've not yet had a reply to my first post re the ride today.
Well done also to all of the guys and girls who rode ahead and stopped traffic at roundabouts and traffic lights.
Just me or did our Police seem to be quite relaxed about us doing this?
Yep there were a few silly cagers but in all they seemed genuinely polite and accomodating on the motorways.
Every day above ground is a good day!:

Big ups to all the Auckland Riders!
Ok, the ride itself was not 100% perfect, but hey — we're humans after all. I think in the main, we did pretty damn well today. Take it as practice for the next one.

To Maha: Well done mate. You stepped up to the plate and organised a very effective protest ride.

To Mom: That was a brilliant speech you made! Awesome!

To Ixion: You are developing into quite the canny statesman.

To the organisers behind the scenes: we appreciate all the work, effort and time you put into this.

I'll tell you one thing though: this ride did show me how easily a few hundred bikers could potentially bring a city to its knees if they so chose. Today showed me that we could quite easily choke the motorway system (the city's lifeblood), and if push comes to shove in the future, it is something that Messrs Merchant Banker Prime Minister; the Rogernomics boys and Business Round Table should note. (They probably won't unfortunately.)

Again, big ups on a good lil' protest ride!

I think that plod did a good job today and I reckon that most of the car's would have enjoyed watching all the bikes go by. The dude who lives next door to me came out when I got home and asked if I had been on the ride.. He was on the the motorway at the same time (in his 4x4), reckons it looked really cool.

Everyone got their riding sussed pretty quickly and we got to our ultimate destination completely intact.
Speakers were all exceptional(yes Mom) even you,LOL, seriously your points were 100%on the money, well done guys and girls.
Was good to hear Phil Goff say if this change did come about he/labour "would" repeal it!
Worth noting too that this and other regional rides are considered to be pat of the build up to Tuesdays Main Event ride and that that is to be considered the start of the Bikers campaign, not the end!
I couldn't agree more National need to know that if they allow this proposal to become law they're finished.250,000 + riders and others alone could wipe out their entire majority and make absolutely sure of Act being wiped from the face of Parliament.
This is what will happen, no one is stopping their vigil after Tuesday's ride.
    Welligton here we come.
Thanks for the info, good on ya folks!

I saw that about 40m ahead of me. Was curious what that was about too......although imagine what 300+ bikers would have done to him had he knocked you off! What are these suicidal f-wits thinking?!

Didn't see any agro, but some dude sat in the fast lane and refused to move for awhile.
    .
Great effort to the family I met who came down from Whangarei. Him and youngster on one and her on another. Nice one.
