Colin there are some pics up of you on the adv rider thread which I thought are pretty good (for a bad amateur anyway)
I can re-arrange some of my staff to suit my riding needs so some day next week (tue, wed, thur or fri ) would be easiest for me .
I really need to do some k's prior to the dusty to see if any of my farkles work and to scrub in the new tyres.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

The plan: coffee at my place 9:45a, leave 10am via Maungatapu to Pelorus to meet colliedog for more coffee. Back over M, eta in NSN by 1pm, visit vintage bike show at Stoke before heading out to Rabbit Island to watch the racing, starts 3pm.
    Cheers,
    Colin

Won't they find that a bit intiminating?

Was going to do the Maunga on boxing day night.
Got to the start by the caretakers house and there is a rope across with a sign 'closed until further notice-order NCC' ??

Thommo, rules were made to be broken, live a little. A wee bit of rope hasn't stopped most of us over the last 2 months, and besides, there is no road closed sign at the Pelorus end of the track. I think they're just trying to discourage 4wd'ers after the fatality in Nov.

I went thru the other day & the caretaker told me it was closed but I could go under the rope & go over. As if I wouldn't any way.

You guys missed a good dose of methanol & excitement at the beach races today.

I'm def entering in it next year along with Topo.
How hard could it be - you only have to get around a couple of cones & then open the throttle up.
I'll send them an email & try to get an adventure class included. We've got a year to pracitse going straight & fast. The rest will come on the day.- hey no smilies WTF?

There's actually what looks like a rather permanent looking sign on the pelorus side at the end of the seal, noticed it today on the way back..

There is a nice reflective sign on a big post all official and permenant looking at the Pelorus end that says "Maumgatapu track closed".

You'd think they could spell it proper.
