Nice. So it wasn't a tampon to stop the nosebleed then?!

We rode the Takas (for the first time ever) last Monday on our way down for our SI trip. We were riding through rain, low cloud, road works and blardy freezing temps so I'm very glad we didn't have to contend with any psychotic drivers as well!!! Having said that, we encountered nothing but polite, considerate drivers (cars and truck etc) with one exception - a driver of a VW beetle who took huge exception to Balu bunnyhopping on a long stretch of slow progress. He was so far up his exhaust I thought the dub was going to start humping the burger! (hate to think what babies that would produce).
All seriously though, the guy you're dealing with sounds like a complete and utter madman - just pleased to hear that you're all ok, esp. your girlfriend Stoney - wow, brave lady!

    Did he claim ACC?

The paperwork would have made interesting reading!

A copy of the claim should be cc'd to Nix Myth for evidence of how "dangerous" motorcycles are!

    Q.What happened ?
I was in front, Graeme riding behind me (so he saw everything and how this idiot reacted)
As far as I can gather ..all I did to upset him was pass him ? ... this was on the straight just before the turn off to the speedway , so we're still in the 80kmph area .. line of traffic , wide centre strip in the road (you know where I am right ?) .. I'm just humming along in the centre strip and (HONESTLY) would'nt've been doing more than 90kmph.
Then just gently pulled back into the lane prior to the right hander , well in front of the line of traffic. No hassles at all , all very innocent.
Which is why I was kinda taken back a bit when this twat arrived at the top of the lump giving me all that ?!

Hirepool Upper Hutt huh ? .... Interesting

This idiot's going to wish he stayed in bed last sunday !! :-)

    Cheers guys

And as for me being staunch with the ciggy .... I just could'nt think of a better option LOL ...

Choices = "Climb over a ZX14 to get at him and make a total arse of myself" ..or "Calm down , finish cig (and leave it to Stoney) LOL"

(But I wish I'd have thought about jamming a couple up the nose ?! ... you should've seen the face mask when I got home) " ... Wifey , you need to do some washing dear" LOL

Yup - I know the spot well - many is the time I have had some twat behind almost run into the back of me as I'm trying to turn into my driveway, and they're overtaking on the median strip! It's not a fucking passing lane (though it used to be!). You'd be suprised the number of crashes that occur on this very short, straight stretch of road. Funniest one was a long time back, when the two vehicles involved were both bikes from the MOT training school....

Still, it doesn't justify what this cockhead done - he deserves an assault charge.

It would be interesting to find this guy and get his version of events. He's obviously seen enough nutters riding like loonies over the Rimutakas to get wound up about about it and along comes the straw that broke the camel's back. We all know that one man's over-taking actions can mean lunacy to another. "That move was perfectly safe" versus "You ride like a maniac" and on it goes. In many such instances there are three sides to the story; yours, mine and the truth. The fact of the matter is; one could be forgiven for clipping someone's ear in the heat of the moment but to track that person down and clip them over the ear later will be frowned upon by the courts big time.

There is NO POSSIBLE version that this dickhead could ever come up with that would come remotely close to justifying his actions in this or any other scenario.....

THIS WAS NO CLIP ON THE EAR!!!!!

It was a CLOSED FIST aimed directly at a face that was thrown with enough force to draw blood and then, without hesitation and without ANY show of violence towards him, pulled a WEAPON out of the door of his car and was ready to cause SERIOUS DAMAGE to someone.

Whether it was a perfectly safe overtake or it was the worst driver ever, going like a maniac (definately not in this case!) is completely IRRELEVANT.

NO EXCUSE, NO JUSTIFICATION - this guy needs to be locked up!

    What makes that 'obvious'?

Or to phrase it another way; what makes you so sure that the actual witnesses are blatant liars and that your creative little story is what actually happened instead?

I'm not sure how you're relating punching someone in the face and then proceeding to present a weapon and clipping someone's ear? Could you expand on how you see those two events relating?

Cant be bother quoting , especially as my gal and imdying already made the points.

Now the FACT is it common assault, and presenting a weapon charges MINIMUM - Weapon - fist- bllood- assault most heinous and un justifiable

No one threatened the guy, no one did anything to warrant his actions, and Graheme and Matt are both real considerate riders, no matter how many times someones been carved up on that hill there is NO way either of these twoguys caused this to happen, I have followed them on the hill many times and they are very careful riders.

There is no 'yours, mine, and the truth' version here Peasea, not this time mate and no flaming at all, your simply wrong tjhis time

15 bikers saw this nutter flipping out
4 of us were directly involved
Matt lost blood and dignity (which he quickly recovered with a drag on his smoke lol)

Darren is lucky to be walking today, coz had he moved one step closer I would have destroyed his ability to walk in a straight line forever, however Kelly shut him down before it got to that point
Darren is now very well known, and I have his EXACT address, he is lucky I am not a vindictive person (because once upona time I was a violent man like Darren is now, and turned my back on that behaviour after many smack downs in the Dojo)
    Just ride.

    Oh good,

Steve has volunteered to go visit ol'e Dazz and express KB's unhappiness at his behaviour and get an explanation from his impression of events!

    That should do it then!
