Sorry, I zipped away so I could get a parking space. As it turned out there weren't many there tonight at the Chip shop.

I suppose I should do some maintenance and not stand aboout holding lights although I'm rather good at it!

And - "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" - does really apply (and does save you money!).

I recall someone saying she was going to do some lubrication at the maintenance evening, I am not looking at anyone in particular
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

You just need to convince her that more sex and more motorcycle maintenance improves a marriage.

For all of you who are like me and not computer whizes but would like to see the Satrides thread try the following address.

    http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...r-(not-the-WNR)

Drag it to your windows desktop and stay up to date with what is happening. Or not as the case may be.
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!

    Hi

    FYI

I sent a sample of the oil from the first oil change to Goughs for testing. It came back with what you would expect. The iron, silicon, chrome, copper and aluminium levels were all high. This bike only has a very basic oil slinger-type filter. The lab correctly identified to run the bike for another 20 hours and resample the oil.

Running in oil. Insufficient information supplied on the label to accurately interpret this sample. Please supply the hours on the oil. The iron, silicon, chrome, copper and aluminium levels arehigh. What fuel is this motor cycle running on ? As the oil has been changed resample in20 hours to monitor the trend. If assistance is required phone John (03) 9433153. Rapid Results. Expert Friendly Advice. Its what we do.

I think you scared everyone away with all that technical jargon Flip. It's been really quiet round here this week.

I might be along tonight for a bit, although I'm bikeless at the moment (ignoring the 2 race bikes, the SV and the shed full of bike parts). The CBR's gone away to be put back together. She should be like new next week. Yay!!

Good to hear you are getting your bike fixed, hope to see you tonight.

    Cold who was cold?????

Anyway the executive of the "Saturday Ride" met tonight and after long discussions and deep thought, it was decided to set the meet time forward by an hour and a half to 11.30 with the departure time being 12.00. This still gives us the opportunity to go to a cafe or pub for lunch and a chat, which was the origional idea behind the SatRides.

    Akaroa this week???????

And now for something completely different.

It has come to my attention that people were seen actually grinning tonight at the Wednesday Maintenance Evening. Unless they were grimacing with terror at Flip's driving style????? What think the crew???
