For everyone that didn't make it, this is a very good video on how to fit foam ear plugs.

Also look at the amount of people wearing headphones instead of ear plugs.

Hi Guys, long time no see.

I use a Shoei whisper kit for my helmet, it stops a lot of the wind (and hence wind noise) going into my ears.

The answer to the question about how long it takes before permanent hearing damage starts at 100km/h is 15 minutes.

What's the noise suppresion in dB of the whisper kit? You really want it to be 15dB or better to avoid hearing loss.
If they are that good I might get one!

I've never been able to get earplugs to work properly for me, but after watching that video I've got it sussed. Although I'm gonna have to watch it again, the video was effective enough that I didn't hear half of it

    Defensive riding course

Has anyone done the defensive riding course, the one that reduces your restricted time?
I am considering doing it (although not to reduce my time) more for the experience etc
I guess my question here is, how beneficial is this as apposed to other courses? I am just wondering how 8 hours theory to 1 hour practical works. i get the theory is important but the ratio seems a little un balanced?
    Any who opinions please

well, you get to draw a poster and be told not to fall onto peer pressure, and slow down before the corners in a car...

    Useful stuff.

That's a great find, cheers. I commute from Dairy Flat to the CBD everyday and had stopped using my plugs because I couldn't get them to fit right, all sorted now.

That sounds interesting to me. Have you got a URL for it? What does it cost?

Looks like a toilet seat cover in this image, but it's not!
It seals up the gaps around your neck, and actually stops wind getting inside your helmet.
