You bike natuurally wants to stand up stright, sometimes you just have to trust your bike more than your skills.
great advise and remember not to panic neither slam the brakes at all which is the immediate thought when you feel tense or in front of a un expected situation. go through it and look up for your exit, those patches were rith ther as you were hitting the corner, feel the back wheel movement so you know you wont go down and its part of your riding.

Every ride is a learning opportuinty for me and others

I thought that you were supposed to hit the gas on the gravel Tacoman... I seem to remember something about flying debris and high revs in the pub carpark....
These aren't the bikes we're looking for....

Good advice given there, especially for the likes of me, only just got my restricted about 6 weeks ago, that has enjoyed the roads all last summer (as a learner) with no problems then riding this year on the quake hit roads is definitely honing my riding skills further. I don't like gravel but it has been a good learning curve the last couple of weeks for me!

Millers Rd to cut the Blue Duck corner, and anyone who wants to I'm sure Dave- will lead you up to the Hilltop and back if there is enough light.

Van drivers look out Mrs Neels will boot your vehicle if you get in her way.
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!

Looks good, would be a shame not to go up the hill, round the hill and down the hill, when you're right there....

I'm thinking Akaroa and back, as long as there is a pint waiting when I get back.

Watch out for those boots, they mean business, particularly if theres already a helicopter on the way.

As the WNR will be going to Akaroa this week, the Sunday ride I was suggesting will be overkill. I will have to ride somewhere else. Once a week to Akaroa is enough for me.

I (and I think Neels) was referring to an additional trip going over the hill and then back to little river, not suggesting an alternative.

One dose of Lake Forsythe Flies a week is enough for me too, fishy little beggars.

Where are you posting the Sunday ride??
