Yes I rang the council on Wednesday and they said that the road was open. Was over that way today, I wanted to check the condition of the road and the road is still closed.

Hmmmmmmmmm!!!!Mutter mutter mutter F mutter mutter mutter

Oh well if Evans Pass is still closed next Wed, we can either go through the tube or over Dyers Pass.
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!

About the same as the Duc, 250k to reserve light when it takes about 17 litres to full again on a 21l tank.

Who'd have thought Italian and American economy would be the same, must be a twin thing.
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987

Had an interesting experience today, was going through gebbies pass, wheatshief side heading up the hill. Was going up a right hand bend and some dude on a bike was overtaking a car on a blind corner (for him) coming towards me. I could tell he almost shat himself because I saw him wobble around a bit. Luckily for him, and me, I could move to the left more so he didn't do something else a bit stupid.

Jeez, my thirsty NipWog beast is feeling a bit inadequate. Will have to stow some siphon hose under the seat....

It's all got to do with how much fuel they burn pulling them selves through the air. The Duke has a few more HP and the Harley carries a bit more weight, they also have similar sized tanks. Is the Duke fuel injected? from its mpg I would say it is, the Harley is

Just goes to show what you pay for the character of a v twin. My TDM usually does closer to 350 km in its 17 l to reserve. Open road only and 400 km is easy on the 20 tank.

Yep, fuel injected, no more fiddling with carbies (on that bike anyway)

Hell thats 4.9 l/100km. The best I ususlly do is 6 on the open road up to 7 if I am 2 up with a load of gear and are pushing it along.

I had a 1200 triumph trophy that used to do 7.5 l/100km, but it used to have a 24 litre tank.

I am interested in all your opinions on this, thinking about a solo?

The top speed is about 130 and mine will be the same colour but I will have a carrier fitted, and will have the side valve motor.
