A friend of mine was telling about an experiment that was carried out.

A large piece of plywood was placed in the bush with two marbles glued to it.

It ended up with countless bullet holes left in the plywood.

What the fuck did those people think they were shooting at?

I read somewhere once that the human brain can be tricked into seeing something that it wants to see. this guy probably saw the type of animal he was hunting.

Who knows, he may have identified the target beyond doubt in his own mind.

This is not the first time and it won't be the last of this type of killing.

That experiment is bullshit. The hunters could just have well shot it because it was a piece of plywood in the middle of the bush with marbles for eyes. Fuck, I'd be tempted to shoot that thing if I saw it in the middle of the bush (after properly identifying it as a plywood "fake animal" of course).


Just like they shoot the speeding signs that say "It's not a target" I doubt anyone thought they were shooting a deer on stilts.

Think it comes under the banner of "hunting and fishing" not sport. Don't think you sort of get a prize for winning as such. More recreation maybe, or not. Got a category of it's own i think.
