I read somewhere once that the human brain can be tricked into seeing something that it wants to see. this guy probably saw the type of animal he was hunting.

Who knows, he may have identified the target beyond doubt in his own mind.

This is not the first time and it won't be the last of this type of killing.

That experiment is bullshit. The hunters could just have well shot it because it was a piece of plywood in the middle of the bush with marbles for eyes. Fuck, I'd be tempted to shoot that thing if I saw it in the middle of the bush (after properly identifying it as a plywood "fake animal" of course).

Just like they shoot the speeding signs that say "It's not a target" I doubt anyone thought they were shooting a deer on stilts.

The 'hunter gatherer' thing I can understand.

It's when killing something is seen as sport that it starts getting just a little fucked in the head.

But hey, that's just my opinion.

I used to quite enjoy spotlighting for rabbits and possums, although we also used to eat a few rabbits as well

Rabbit wrapped in tinfoil and baked in butter and stuff mmmmmmmmmm

Think it comes under the banner of "hunting and fishing" not sport. Don't think you sort of get a prize for winning as such. More recreation maybe, or not. Got a category of it's own i think.
Either way i wouldn't get so carried away as to use the "head case" statement.

Its a stretch to call spotlighting hunting.

It's poaching, fully illegal - Very widespread.

The only thing that needs to change is the laws to be enforced, but it wont happen.

This dickhead will get what he deserves tho, a moments carelessness has wrecked so many lifes, including his own.

I think all the people in the truck will be charged with something. IMO they are all equally at fault. and should (and will i think) get the book thrown at em.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

Fuck me this thread is waaaaaaay off topic.

    A woman died.

    Respect please.

If you want to have a hunter vs non-hunter argument, start another thread.

and for the record I am a hunter and will not justify myself to anyone, I don't need to.
