Result!
A bit of clay shit on one side of the back of my jacket but nothing at all up the middle or on the top of the bike.
Normally I'd need to wipe the number plate down to read the letters/numbers.
The ToolTube held up well too.
A circle of dense foam at the end (possibly both ends) to stop anything hitting the plastic and that's about all I'd change.
Found out the reason the bike didn't like returning to idle...
The throttle pull cable was so bound up the inner pulled out when I pulled the cable.
This cable set was the better of the 2 I had
The old set is getting a bit frayed and was a bit sticky so I worked some brake clean down it. Hell that made a difference!
The carb clamp at the manifold isn't in the best shape either.
The best shape would be round...
It's got a much better idle now and I also adjusted the accelerator pump timing so it just missed the slide which meant winding the screw almost all the way out.
The squirt was happening much too late before.
Still going to order some new cables though...
Is the clarence thing happening this weekend?? or have I got my eyes crossed.?
Edit, Posted thgis in the wrong thread.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........
Right.
Loosened up the triple clamp and greased the steering bearings t'other day.
The notcheyness was gone!
For a day.
At least I know there's grease in there.
I'll replace the bearings when I get a shorter brake line.
Also it's going to be $246au + gst for a refurbished gps as they don't repair them here.
Not too bad but I'd have liked to just replace the touch screen.
Hey Padmei.
How much oil did you put in your forks with the Intiminators?
I put in the stock 160mm from the top with the suspension fully compressed this time and there's seems to be more brake dive.
Although it's only meant to control progressiveness at full travel?
I measured the old oil and it was about 130mm.
Racetech also recommend 130mm.
