I was in at the local Whero Whare today and saw them beside the front door. Funnily enough one already had a sign on it saying 'Repaired, no returns".

Wonder who will be doing the work?

    Q. What if I have a query or need advice? Who can I speak to?
    A. A dedicated 0800 number has been set up: 0800 422 566. You will speak to a qualified motorcycle mechanic who will be able
    to assist you.

    hey jimmy fuck you
    Lol. Get fucked Brett.

But seriously, The Warehouse isn't competiton to bike shops. Because the poor buggers that shop there would never have thought of going to a bike shop and looking for a kids bike firstly, and secondly, the cheapest kids bike I sell is three times the price. Nowhere near the same ballpark. We can't hope to compete with Chinker bike price and unreliability, nor would we want to.

Pete McDonald and WMCC is my competition mate. Wouldn't hear a bad word spoken of either of them and thoroughly looking forward to the next time we catch up for dinner. But I do feel very sorry for the poor bastards who decide to buy one of these horrible pieces of shit from the warehouse.

So I walk into the shop last night to pick up my FZ-8 and low and behold, there in the workshop is one of these "great value for money" Warehouse dirtbikes. Asked Ben, our workshop manager, what it's doing there. "Brand new, they just bought it and it wont go" Surprise sur-fucking-prise.

    The thing's brand new still.

I had a good look over this thing and I urge anyone who thinks they might be good value to do the same. The words "ten foot" and "pole" spring to mind.

    Another Warehouse fail.

I'm waiting for the '11 FZ-1 old son, the FZ-8 was very nice, but just failed in a couple of areas quite important to the riding I enjoy. I believe the FZ-1 will be the perfect bike and there'll be heaps of cool tuning stuff available to suit.

Hey! You must be looking to trade soon, have I got a deal for.........

Fuck... I'll stay away from the beach and any public park over the next few weeks while idiot parents take their obnoxious offspring down there with these new 'toys'.

No problems in that respect Paul, these things don't go.

I aggree. I have 3 chinker Minimotos including a Banshee and two chinker 110/125cc four stroke pit bikes. They're fricken awesome and I have a lot of fun on them. However, similar to yourself I'd wager, I know that they need constant maintenance and upkeep. My minimotos all had every factory bearings chucked in the rubbish and new decent quality ones fitted. Fuel tank flushed from new and a filter fitted. Float level adjsted to stop fuel pissing all over the road.

Definitely, but I don't hold that against them, that's just a side effect of me paying $103 for one and $107 for the other.

If there wasn't a gap in the market, they wouldn't sell. Most people can't manage the simplest of things, like the difference between you're and your, so it seems unlikely that they'll be able to keep these running. Those people need to fall into the pit of death in any case, so I'm not really bothered if these bikes frustrate the ever loving shit out of them. Sure some kids might get hurt, big deal, Darwin in action.

Yip, I saw an article about them using the new R1 motor in the FZ chassis a while ago.

That could tempt me to trade mine. I hope they make a Naked one as well

Had a look at one in Te Wharewhare this afternoon. Is the swingarm and frame plastic? That was the impression that I left with after looking at / tapping it.

If only you could read, they all have signs on the handle bars (assuming no one rips them off) saying, "Repair only, no returns" Returns/refunds, can't remember right now.

EDIT: Although I still wouldn't touch one of the things
