Hoping the tyre set is OK. I passed on the set as I have some shorter levers already but made up the rest.

How are people finding the Torpedo7 tools they bought?

I put a rivet master link on after removing the previous chain and it is still on after 1000kms. Tool seems to work fine.

I like the bead buddy (after filing the edges)
I really really dislike those curved levers

Ok, very new to this changing your own tyre stuff but can someone explain how the bead buddy works and what it is for? I can understand the levers, just like screwdrivers for a bike tyre, the rim protectors are clear, but the Bead Buddy eludes me a bit.

    Thanks

The bead buddy helps keep the tyre bead, (the edge of the tyre that fits snug against the rim edge), in towards the centre of the rim, (where there is a groove) so tyre is easier to peel off/onto the rim.
It's one of those tools that I have, rarely use, (as a tyre lever positioned in the right place does exactly the same job), but has a clever little scollop cut out of it so you can lock it place via a spoke.
    Nessasary? No
    Desireable sometimes? yes/maybe.
Looks good in the tool box, (confounds many people to it use) Absolutely.

For the price, worth it? Probably.

I borowed Nordies to use putting on a MT21. I couldn't actually work out how to use it so didn't bother - i don't think it would make things that quicker

I tried out my T7 cable luber today & couldn't work out how to use that either The rubber thing had a small split so I carried on splitting the cable to the end & cut the end off so the barrel thing had somewhere to go. I then tightened it up & plugged the silicon can spout thing into a nipple & sprayed.

Was this the right thing to do? Seemed a PITA way about it. Tell me what I did wrong

No kneeling on the edge of a knobblie to keep it in the dish of the rim.

    Pirelli Scorpion Tyres

I don't buy 'em, but these prices look sharp to me:

    http://www.torpedo7.co.nz/content/pirelli_tyres

    Includes a DOT legal knobbly.
