'Good things come to those who wait'
Bollocks, get of your arse and go get it
Yep them vibranators are an ass to get out.
Edit. Gee just imagine if you mixed some of the above words up??
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........
The Zeta fat bars need to be drilled out a bit to get the vibranators in properly.
About 100mm in the internal of the bars closes up slightly
I want at least 50mm more of constant diameter.
Also the right hand guard wasn't totally successfully re-bent to spec.
Sledge hammer engineering at it's finest.
Today I pulled the 10mm risers and the bars feel about 30mm lower
But still very nice for standing.
Just went for a tootle up the Maungatapu to um... test the bars... yeah... the bars...
Found a nice short little side track that had a couple of mud holes, water ruts and everything
When I went to turn around I started the bike up and there was quite a rattling racket
Turned it off and the racket died down with a tinkle.
The discs in my SuperTrapp have worked loose
On the way back the bike was either rattling and tinkling or the last disc would block up the end and it'd be very very quiet...
It's probably going to be at the races with no discs the way it's going.
Once it's cooled down, I'm going in for a look.
Right. It's cooled down and I can't find an imperial allen key to get at the bugger.
Man the stock pipe is heavy, but quiet![]()
Cool
We should go for a ride on our 3fiddy's.......
you can ride yours....
MrsJatz will ride hers
And I'll ride.......
mine![]()
Bugger you guys
In life as in dance Grace glides on blistered feet
Put the NADS Renthal fatbars on last night and I think they're a lot closer to the ergos I'm after.
This is the 3rd bike they've been on.
Dr650 - not quite right. Too far forward.
CT125 - very nice.
TT350 - possibly very nice.
Re-routed the front brake line as the master cylinder banjo was horizontal instead of pointing at 45 deg to get a nice arc in the brake line. Bled the brakes too. The fluid was black. Black as night. Black as Padmei's GB500.
That may make a difference...
I have been informed the brake fluid was changed for the beach races!
So it'd just done the races and about 3 times through the Maunga and it was black!
The bike has been de-stickered in preparation for being re-stickered with some steekers from Mot.
The carbs are out and the float bowel o-ring is shot. The float needle holder o-ring is shot. Another o-ring is shot (broke in 2 when I picked it up). The vacuum and fuel joiner pipes between the carbs are shot. That's 20 years of use for ya.
The petcock has a slow leak when closed even though it had a re-build a couple of months ago.
The Trailtech Vapor is hooked up
6V AC, revs, oil temp all done...
Tempted to set the first temp warning light up as the warm-up light and the 2nd as the warning light.
Much tidier...
Got to get some full length Fork Skins on there as soon as possible...
Total re-build cost so far is $55 for a battery and the steekers.
Got some o-rings from various shops for the float needle jet, main needle jet and the chain o-ring replacement.
They're not the best fit but will be fuel tight.
The float bowel gasket/o-ring is coming from Oz and is the biggest purchase in the re-build so far![]()
