Hi All. Roll chart and fuel stop info is now up on my website. I'd suggest you have a think about your fuel stop strategy before the ride cause it turns out one of the critical locations (Omakau) is only open till mid day on Saturday and not at all on Sunday. This will make life a bit difficult for those with less than 270km of range who will either need to deviate for 26km (and 26km back) down to Alex for more fuel. This would make the min range needed 230km.

    Route length options -
    1. The maximum route length is about 1120km if you ride the options to maximise the route length. This is doing Danseys Pass (not doing Challenge 1), Challenge 2 and the Scenic Loop.
    2. The shortest route is about 1057km though this involves doing Challenge 1 (will be time consuming), not doing Challenge 2 and not doing the Scenic Loop.
    3. For those who want to do technical stuff the mid length option of doing Challenges 1 and 2 and the Scenic Loop with will total of about 1070km.
    4. For those that are less comfortable on technical terrain do Danseys Pass, not do Challenge 2 and do the Scenic Loop with a total of about 1110km.

    Cheers R

challenging fuel stops there. If I miss lawrence and ride economcally it can be done quite easy, but somehow I don't think thats gonna happen.

Bloody hick town garages Kinda put a spanner in the works but not impossible to work with. If people drop into Lawrence hopefully most can handle the 270kms to Omarama. Lawrence is the least off route fuel option.

Ah Bugger. It was pointed out to me that there were some issues with the roll chart that I've now fixed. Couple of insignificant spelling issues, couple of instruction changes and most importantly the details to do with the Challenge and Scenic loops (i.e. to skip a challenge goto cell X) didn't appear in the PDF. I've taken care of all of these and re uploaded the PDF.

For those of you who printed the roll chart already you can either reprint the whole thing (can't just to some pages as some cells have shifted a page) or update the old roll chart by hand. The cells to compare are

    41 Instruction Change
    118 Instruction Change
    151 Spelling Correction
    152 Spelling Correction
    176 Additional Info
    179 Additional Info
    184 Spelling Correction
    186 Spelling Correction
    187 Instruction Change
    188 Additional Info
    229 Additional Info
    234 Additional Info
