I accept that modern Triumph's are no longer the unrealiable bikes they used to be but DO NOT kid yourself that they are better than most anything else either, take your little British blinkers of and come live in the real world. I swear some of you Triumph riders are worse than Harley Davidson loyal.
I've unfortunately damages a couple of my bikes in recent times and I would just about guarantee you that there is no way you'd out get out of it as cheaply on a equivalent Triumph plain and simple. I'm not a Triumph hater, just going recent experiences.
I don't know but there's always a way around the luggage carrying issue, as for the bike itself, certainly caught my eye before, what a great looking little package, To be honest I don't know much about the bike but on looks and standoutfromyhecrowdability It's a clear winner over the K and the trumpy.
I'm off to check the specs on that little beauty, could be a contender![]()
Oh bugger
Harmless banter my friend.
Going back to your earlier post - I agree on the no better no worse front reliabilitywise. Maybe you do pay slightly more for parts (not as much as many people claim I'd suggest) but that is about volume, quality and exclusivity I'd suggest![]()
I've had three modern Trumpies over four years with zero problems and all parts I've sourced from overseas cheaper than you'd find any equivent Japper parts (locally).
Mom out of that crop of contenders I say go the Buell (anything but a Jappa)
Drew for Prime Minister!
www.oldskoolperformance.com
www.prospeedmc.com for parts ex U.S.A ( He's a Kiwi! )
I have had 2 of the later triumphs and have not had to spend a single penny on anything mechanical. Had a minor crash on one and it cost me bugger all in bits.
some parts are pricy i would have to say. If you go buy a filter of Triumph then you pay $30 plus but i buy mine off Repco and they are around $18. Where you shop always helps. Mine have been a long way cheaper then the japs i have owned and that's just a fact, nothing personal.
Trumpydom!

I'd not hesitate to purchase a new Triumph. Or Kawasaki. Or Honda.
OK I have a Honda.
Regarding parts - I have taken to importing genuine Honda parts from the USA as I found when the Sept Earthquake tipped my bike over in the shed (cosmetic damage only) that bits in NZ were up to SIX times dearer. I kid you not - six times!
Even consumables like filters are stupid prices.
