Anyway, you've just got to be savvy when it comes to Triumph parts. Example: I replaced my fuel filter with an identical BMW part for a fraction of the cost. Of course it cost me about $450 to fly to Oz and get it

Going back to your earlier post - I agree on the no better no worse front reliabilitywise. Maybe you do pay slightly more for parts (not as much as many people claim I'd suggest) but that is about volume, quality and exclusivity I'd suggest

Both times I binned my bikes (a '06 Yamaha FZ1 and an '07 Kawasaki ZX14) they cost no more than $4500 to sort, my friend on his Triumph binned his bike and the bill was the thick end of $20k! (although I fully admit that his bin involved both sides of the bike) so i'd hazard a guess along with some other situations i'm privy to that bits for Triumph's cost more than slightly more.

I've had three modern Trumpies over four years with zero problems and all parts I've sourced from overseas cheaper than you'd find any equivent Japper parts (locally).

Glad you are having a good spin out of your Triumph's. Since I re-joined the riding fraternity so to speak no issues with the three bikes i've had bar a faulty side stand switch on the FZ1 which was subsequently discovered by the following owner unfortunately for him.The dealer told me the other day (while i was in perving at the new ZX10) that he loves the FZ1 (naturally).

The rear pegs on the Buell I posted are just below the chain guard, thats how much it has been lowered. If anne could at least the balls of her feet on the ground, thats why the triumph/kawasaki are in the mix.

You may well be writing something relevant... but I can't be bothered reading it if I have to change background colour. Blue on black is decipherable

It's unfortunate that you are displeased with my choice of colour when posting inside others post to make my reply more easily discernable but I use the light universe and have no issues, I find the dark universe harder to read and strains my eyes. If you can't flick to the light universe for a moment to make it more easily readable then you'll just have to forgo my unbelievably witty banter and insightful pearls of wisdom from time to time, truth be known you're not missing anything...

Ventura do a rack system to fit them. 'Bout $80 for the "L" brackets and about the same for a rack. Packs from <$100 to $300 for a larger touring job. If you're interested in cheap hard luggage to fit it PM me.
