Or pay 7 or 8 and get a piece of shit Korean Hyobag. It's ludicrous and it's cheaper to get a quality bigger bike that will never let you down and won't fall apart on you.

The license rules are bullshit and you know it, arguing that makes you as bad as the paper pushers behind the desk that make them. Everyone knows the old 2 and 4 stroke 250cc's are faster and more dangerous to ride than a lot of bigger bikes out there and simply obliterate any ninja or hyobag. How can these bikes be ridden on the same license class? It's a crock of shit.
At least riding a 250 hyosung or a newish ninja would have saved him $600 everytime he gets pulled up. Then next you will be moaning he had to spent $100 on a pair of comfortable shoes to walk to uni in when he loses his licence next time. I have a friend who has just got a 1991 fzr250 for $2200 with 6 months reg and new wof with 27000ks on it. It is tidy and rides nice so how is that an over inflated price.

This is in the middle of rush hour traffic on Symonds St in Auckland.
There were 2x police bikes on the footpath, and about 3x cars down the side road St Martins Lane.
I saw about 5 bikers pulled over...all of which seemed to be smaller bikes, or ones with L plates.

Anyone know what was going on?
Also OP, were there any scootlings among the mix? Would be interested to know if they also get the good old chat/check up

@ $2200 it wouldhave to be a fucking minter

i am currently buying up all the 400-660 soon to be lam approved machines that i can get my hands on. i am going to make a small fortune.

(for $2200 i can easily get tidy cbr and zxr 400's and fairly well kept 600 single bangers)

Fail. You have no idea about quite the amount of grey import bikes in that category around. Even in NZ. You will never corner the market.

thanks for your input racefactory. i have no ambitions to 'corner the market' as you put it. merely to have a good share of it.

whats the bet that is put on the back burner now after the earthquake. Im sure the goverment has more important things to worry about at the moment so i hope you don't mind sitting on those bikes for a bit longer.

you make sense. it was a 'backburner' plan anyway, i have no issues however long it takes. i did not say this was my sole source of income. (obvious to some)

Perhaps that's why he is advertising what he's up to. Get others interested in the market and make a quick buck before the new stuff even comes into effect! A diabolical genius of sorts
