Never had a problem with any cages up to legal speeds on that 650.
Had a joust at the lights in Wellington with 73 is 911RS, it was surprisingly fast (This was on the CBeige400) but it all comes down to reaction time, I got off the line a shed load faster, ergo I creamed him. His gorgeous sounding six drowned the sewing machine 4 cyl out though

I've found that its mainly g00ks with turbo jappa's ( read evo's ) that wanna drag me off at the lights. Blow those fuckers away, both with speed and noise.

Was coming home from work a few weeks ago through town, stopped at the front at a set of lights - some old Skyline pulls up next to me and starts revving the engine. I didn't realise it at first so they're still revving it - I look over and rev my little 250 back and in the corner of my eye I spot an undercover cruiser one car back behind them.

Needless to say lights turn green, I beat them to 50km and I see them roll by speeding with some young guy giving me a wanker signal in the passenger seat.

The undercover behind them flicks on his lights and speeds up to catch them, then proceeds to pull them over - I'm passing them about now and give them a wave

Legend tells of an AE86 tailgating me while i'm at around 140, suddenly decides to slingshot past on a narrow bridge moving 150+.
No shit, around the corner was DiscoMan-Stu and his customer, both with mouths mouths agape.
Needless to say, not wanting to be labeled a country street racer by the radio, I took an alternate route from the main road.

Can someone add up the voting percentages for me? I think I'm drunk or something.

40yr old mid lifers in exotics?
For some reason it seems to be the big V8 ford/holden Utes that have to have a go.... it's even funnier when you are 2 up and just roll on the power for a few seconds.... the wife/girlfriend/shag in the passenger seat looks soooooooo impressed with the guys 'penis extension' being out dragged by a 2 up bike, then just let them go, often with a little wave.

For those of the KB'er who know me personally and well enough to know im a few sockets short of a tool set,
I have a big thing about boy racers and muppets in general who try to over take me or rev their pieces of ass to their piss ant 7k red line, Im pretty competitive and enjoy giving them a good thrashing, I like sitting in first/second gear and looking at them giving them a thumbs up for effort before I change up and carry on my merry way.
There have been a few times where I have raced for cash though.. haha

(Prove himself?, - what as, a wanker??)
For some reason I can't get my head around the concept of Scumdog and boy racer in the context of this thread

I normally get honda's thinking I'm on something special or the above. I'm really REALLY wanting to see some boyracer idiot in his thrashed to hell GC8(1993-2001) WRX leave his gearbox all over the road or snap an axel. Them 5speeds don't like being launched.

I think Id have a chance with a dad in a people mover trying to impress his kids

Three subies at my work. One bugeye stock, one V5 type R I think running 18 and the young fullers turbo 92 wagon. No sweat.
R&D guys GT-R with 20k spent on full exhaust, turbo and intake goodies is yet to be determined... Damn that thing sounds orgasmic.

I'd lose to a Dad and his van-full of sprogs. Not to promote racing is cool, however.

I still giggle when I see these threads. If you can beat all the boi racers on your 250/400/650 vee twin etc, then you need to take on some real cars.
I've raced a couple of cars that have been able to hold me off on a 750/older thou to over 250kph.
I've raced an older blade back in the day in my v8 that couldn't shake me down the southern.
I've chased a guy on a tl thou through the old north road in a skyline that couldn't lose me too.
And I've driven an Audi that did 250kph in 4th out of 6 gears.
Go to the drags and try ya luck, there's plenty of cages that'll run in the 10's, try that on a 400.

They know better than to try it on a cool bike with an unflappable rider.

Now one that snaps/snarls/fizzes? - too much temptation for them.

They know they'll get a reaction too.
