OP; Don't forget the extra licencing fees, insurance and running costs for the 1000 and all the other reasons you chose the R6 over the R1 in the first place. Don't be blinded by the 400cc of pure power and be sure you are making a considered decision that suits your position.[/QUOTE]

Man, don't wreck it for me now!!!. Thats the stuff you think about 2 weeks after your impulse purchase.

Fair enough mate. Enjoy the ride!

Take the thou for a ride before you agree to it though, it's considerably faster than the 600, enough to make you think WTF at first... and boy do they eat tyres.

A bloody good outcome! I love the big bang R1. I would love to know who the dealer is because I would actually go to them now as a preference because I know that if one of their staff fucks up, they will see the issue remedied. I think this has been well managed.

Yeah I can speak of experience here.
At first I was like "Yeah gonna get a R1!" then took it for a test ride and almost wiped out giving it juice and pointing the nose to the sky (not on purpose).
Ended up getting an FZ1 purely cos it had the heavier front end.

    I miss my FZ1

Agreed. 600cc makes you think "shit this is bloody quick". 1000cc make your brain start making little farting noises before telling you that it shouldn't be possible to go this fast.
