    Ticket for going too slow

    Hi Y'All

Here's why so few people get tickets for going too slow.

I was going north in my neenar at about 4.30 today. Neenar? It's blue and yellow, with red/blue lights on the roof. Nuff said.

I radared a car travelling south on SH1 out of Waikuku at 70 km/h. He was coming out of the Waikuku 80 kmh area. Behind him were 11 vehicles, the drivers of 3 of them waved frantically for me to do something about the dude holding them all up.

I whipped around behind the last of the 11, then used the blues n twos to force each of the 11 aside while I went after the car still travelling at 70 kmh, now in a 100 zone.

After creating mayhem to get to him, he eventually stopped, and I got a big mouthful about how I had driven dangerously to catch and stop him, and that I should go catch some burglars or rapists. Yes, pretty much all the shite that I get most days.

After he drove off, $150 poorer, I pondered why I bother, given the criticism I get for doing it, added to the criticism I get for not doing it.

So, should we do it or not?

    Harumph.

Sorry dude but I believe you were right to pull him over,..
Its cagers like him that will cause accidents. People will get pissed off and pass him and sometimes in an unsafe manner.

Mate, Id like to see people travelling at 99km/hr get a ticket for holding me up, youll get no fucking complaints from me for ticketing slow cunts. Just' dont come up behind me, Or Ill mistake it for a race challenge, and it could all get a bit ugly.

Seriously though, fuck'em all, people love to bitch 'bout how all you in your neenar's (neenars, love it!) are all a pack of cunts, but Im picking the job aint all a box of roses. Do your job, and laugh at the silly bastards who's tickets just got bigger because they failed the attitude test

I am in favor of it if it is warranted . As in if there is someone that is doing 70kph in a 100kph zone they "may" cause problems for other drivers . people do stupid shit when they are stuck behind slow drivers & are unable to pass safely therefore causing an accident .
Yeah ok you can say that the person that pulled out & made the unsafe passing maneuver was at fault & should have waited untill it was safe to pass i.e a passing lane or a straight section of road but not all are like this ....... I hope

So yeah go for gold & pull him over

Out of interest , what does your little blue bible say ??

Thanks for writing that cunt a ticket, can you come and patrol SH23 for a while? There has been a lot of slow drivers around here in the past few months. Really fucks me off in rush hour, traffic coming the other way means I'm often stuck behind the cunts for the whole trip.

Its slow people like that which cause people (cage drivers) to overtake dangerously.

The person doing the "dangerous overtake" is ultimately responsible for those actions

A lot of the time it is the dickheads who sit behind the slow driver without making any attempt to pass that are just as bad

you may have pissed off one muppet, but dollars to donuts the 11 people stuck behind said muppet now think you are the ducks nuts and probably were all cheering as you forced them aside.

i for one would like to salute you, and if you ever find yourself in auckland feel free to hit me up for a high five and a beer.

Either shit or get off the pot is the saying isn't it? If you aren't confident to make a pass then leave a big gap so that other people can. And it also lets you see round the vehicle in front. I'd book these arseholes first, then the fourth car in line which will invariably be a Holden, and any riders who are sitting in line should have a three month ban for contributing to the problem.

If it is the weekend I would pull the driver out of the first car, and his passenger, make them kneel on the centreline in front of all the other people they held up then shoot them in the head before hanging them from the next overbridge as a lesson.

I'd then put the Police dog in their car to quieten the children down.

Holiday weekends would get a bit messy.

I am surprised that a bit of criticism is getting to you. What do people say when you give them a ticket for 108km/h? Thank you?

I don't see slow as a crime (90 in a 100, unless you are a baiting neenar), however impeding the flow of traffic by not being aware of those behind you and getting safetly out of their way is.
The emphasis should be on all around awareness rather than that in your front third vision.

    go for gold

As a truck driver who rarely goes much above 90 and still I cant seem to stop catching cars I applaud you and ask you to kindly continue fighting the good fight and ticket all those horrible slow annoying fecking drivers.
To all those cars disrupting the peace with there snail pace, If you got a truck up your arse then stand on the loud pedal, no truck can go faster than a car anywhere.
    Thanks again, top work.
I'm off to the pub, I may be sometime.
