The fix would be done however Yamaha instructed it to be done.

I would assume they would replace the hole unit rather than muck around with the old one.

As for the comments re suspension. How hard are they set in rear from new!
Even at 95kg I needed to back it off!

Tis a Yamahahahaha G. Just thrash it like you stole it. Gixxer 4 ever
It really did look very unloved. Specially as it was next to the R1 that the whole crowd wanted to look at. Gixxer 4 ever

So I emailed the photos to the dealer and explained what's happening, He forwards the photos to Yamaha NZ who then get in touch with Yamaha Japan in regards to solving the problem. Their response is that they are aware of it but condensation in the headlights is a "natural phenomenon" and therefore not a warranty issue, and have instructed the dealer to open the unit up and spray a cleaner of some sorts inside to address the issue. Hopefully not at my expense!
DAMN YOU NATURAL PHENOMENON YOUR A PAIN IN MY ASS.
Your days of finger-banging ol' Mary Jane Rottencrotch through her pretty pink panties are over!

    Really.

Well, absolutely not replacing the blade with an R1 then.

It's nice to see that if your brand new $20,000motorcycle isn't completely satisfactory, Yamaha will bend over backwards to see that you're looked after

Take them to the LMVD disputes tribunal. Sure you might lose, but at least you'll have been a pain in the arse for a couple of days. Make sure you schedule the hearing for outside of their home city so they have to travel.

Yamaha NZ aside, what's the name of the dealer who's holding your cheeks apart whilst they fuck you in the arse?
