i could buy that L for the same price....
ebay and ADV could source a lot of it cheaper but yeah would be costly to mod it all at once. apart from the piston i would do the labour myself.

even if i could mod it out, i could never ride it to its limits

My body was smashed but the bike was worth the pain. 2002, 1 owner & 2600km on the clock. Unused for three years. The best birthday present ever!!!! I just need a bigger tank

The acerbis sahara tank is really good. I bought one for my BRP and used it last summer for the big trip down south (two weeks). Being a big tank it looks a bit ungainly but I was surprised to find the centre of gravity doesn't move upwards on the bike with a full tank - it just moves forward (don't need to worry about accidental wheelies when accelerating ). Better still, the added weight in the front balanced nicely with my soft panniers in the back. And the quality is up there.

However, I use that tank only when I go touring. Doing SERIOUS offroad with that tank is a hassle and the added weight (if you fill it up) in the dirt or deep mud it a serious inconvenience.

    I'm selling my supermoto kit

I'm selling my BRP motard kit. Anybody interested?

    http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=418389822

I know it might look expensive but it COMPLETE, WOFable and working. Moreover, it's interchangeable with the normal wheels (most supermoto kits for BRP require at least a different rear brake caliper, incompatible with the rear brake disk on the dirt wheels)
