twue where a "weal" westauwant has someone that's trying to make an attempt at making nice food is concerned, with a reputation is on the line ... but as I said earlier (and stand by), crap for you could be heaven for me and people will eat what either of us consider to be crap, and will suffer the food establishment good or bad, and all that all irrespective of money, performance, integrity etc... I guess that's why fast food works, it's cheap, it's tasteless to some and you don't expect it to be cordon bleu. Shame in so many ways...
I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!
bloody ex-smokers, bunch of sanctamon... hi Genie, long time no see, yer well I hope.
Always blaming the world for wasting the money... heh. No doubt those who have screwed themselves over have been partially responsible for some of the medical advances we've had. If "bad" things are available, people will use them. The best we can do is educate people and then let them/us get on with it for better or worse... hopefully for the better in the future.
Cigs, fat, smog, damp, chemicals (household, drugs legal and illegal or medicinal), pesticides, growth hormones, carsetc... they all kill people and are all possible contributing factors in regards to Cancer and other diseases/mental conditions etc... after all not all lung cancers are smoking related, not even in smokers. We have a bad guy, but I have a hard time accepting that it's THE bad guy. In all honesty, I reckon exhaust fumes are responsible for more cancers than cigs, but that is just my opinion.

Being fat is not all that bad you know
I only have a 2" willy but I've got 150KG to shove it in with.....
Mind you, I've tried the "but I'm heavy boned" excuse, trouble is when was the last time you saw a fat skeleton.
Once you've had fat you will never look back, remember that ladies.
Laters......and I do have feelings you know.......![]()
heh, the ball is rolling for want of a better expression
I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!
And funnily enough, fuck all in the way of "reduced fat" "low fat" foods for sale either. In fact global obesity has increased since people took the advice of cutting fat from their diet.
Bwahahaahaaaaaaaa
I don't think anyone is advocating the removal of the standards, just pointing out that they are a mile wide. Nestle would be a good example of a company that produces a crap-ton of food that meets relevant standards but isn't particularly good for people. Also food standards are maintained by the same people that actually believe that fat per se is bad for you oooooh.
Government manipulated statistics also show that motorcycling is bad for you too, let's get them to increase the tax on that as well.
Oh.
Snap.
Keep on chooglin'
I don't disagree with the idea of higher tax on "bad" foods but who decides what is "bad"?
Take milk for example. It is considered "good", even promoted as a something we should be ingesting to improve our health. The truth is milk (the stuff you buy, not raw milk) does more harm than good because it's processed beyond our body's ability to naturally deal with it. We actually lose bone density when we drink it over many years (it's too acidic so we use calcium, from our bones, to balance it). The people selling it will have you believe quite the opposite. They tell you you should drink it every day to strengthen your bones!
Bread features in almost every New Zealander's diet. Great for clogging up the intestinal tract and over the years helping build impacted fecal matter, leading to a popular way to go, bowel cancer. But bread isn't considered "bad". It's a part of our culture!
Take a dump and go for a run, tax crisis averted
Aren't all the sugary/energy foods doing as much damage these days anyway? or do they fall into the same category?

Can the skinny people who watch what they eat (intake and variety) and excercise regularly avoid this tax ?
No thought not. What a crock.

Plenty of skinny people have dangerous build ups of fat - in their arteries!
Besides, there is only one product they need to tax - cheese. 93% of fat people eat cheese.
The kicker is that silly BMI (body mass index) that you see in Dr's waiting rooms.
According to that, Im ever so slightly obese at 182cm and 80kg.
Pfffffffttttt. Whoever came up with that is FOS.
