The Police found my motorbike :-)

Had a call earlier tonight from the police, they found my motorbike when they raided a guys house in Pokeno ( http://www.odt.co.nz/news/national/1...b-found-garage )
So I have to go pick it up from the towing yard Papakura tomorrow, police said it was looking fine, wearing a different numberplate.

Just in time for daylight savings, YEAH BABY.

    Parts please :)

Just got an RC36 streetfighter, second ride and it started to feel a bit snatchy in the transmission, then it felt like the rear brake was siezing on, yup, shattered roller bearing (closest to the disc)
The hardening has come off of the axle somewhat, I will have my engineer mate look at it to see if I can still use it but I'd rather replace it.

I've tried econohonda but the best they can do is all the other bearings. Does anyone know of a spare stub axle and hub that someone wants to part with? Otherwise I'll get hold of Bikebusters in the next few days and see what Wayne wants to charge me

    *Sigh*

    Deep Breath.

Some fucker broke into my car last night and stole my NC35 Speedo and bracket (Which i just got back from the powder coaters).
My bike is almost fully rebuilt, and some shit had to go and do this...

So, what i need at the moment is a RVF400 Speedo and bracket, so if anyone knows someone who is wrecking an RVF at the moment, let me know.

    Thanks
    Cam

    VFR bits

I have a few bits that I'm going to list in trader but thought I'd give you guys a heads up first.

    - VFR fibreglass race fairing - 2 piece, NEW, I think it's a Just Fairings one, black, a few marks from being moved around a bit but nothing major. Has the headlight holes so can be used road or race.

    - set of new Bridgestone BT014's, 150/60/18 and 120/60/17.

    - VFR400 NC24, former race bike, not road rego'd and unlikely to get there without more work than it's worth. Good for parts. No fairing. Would prefer someone takes the whole bike. The prior owner could drop petrol in the carb and have it run. I was forced to take it when I bought another bike off him. A package that he wouldn't split.

    - set of two more tires, used, reasonable life left and didn't write the brand down. Should be the same sizes as above.

    Here's a link to pics of the bike and fairings on photo bucket;

Pick up would be Auckland or payment and we sort delivery.

Make me an offer I can't refuse.

can someone take a shot of a stock VFR400 NC30 petrol tap, and post it up? The left side of the bike where you change it from on, to reserve and to off?

on mine, I noticed on sunday that it goes well when the wee arrow part is horizontal, pointing to the rear of the bike, with the word "OFF" in the up position. I can turn it counterclockwise 90 degress from there so the arrow points up, or the other way so it points down. I wonder if someone has had the tap apart, and put the thing on upside down? dunno: but I would like to compare it to a stock one.

mines had the HRC mod to it as well so I need really to make sure off is actually off, rather than on...

Oh, and $24.95 and a couple hours labour spent repacking Mr muffler has made a massive difference to the obnoxiousness of the bike. Worst part of the job was chasing all the threads with a tap and die before reassembly.

sorry, I posted this in Mr IceMaestro's for sale thread, but it should be here.

    Doh.

I've always thought of the Honda fuel tap way as 'backwards'.
