Not sure who built my engine but I think it was Pete Sales ,It runs a Oring head with 0.7 piston clearance ,The piston is machined to the same angle as the combustion chamber,Fly wheel has been machined but it runs standad ignition (I think that is holding it back) the pipe has been hand made it has a 24mm flat slide and it has very little vibration so I think the crank has been sorted as M Green says they vibrate like a bastard if you don't..The gearbox has no big gaps so I think it could be a TS box ..It was pulling 19BHP after the last GP but I have played with the timming and the jetting and I'm sure Its better ..Rs is a good weight at only 76kg wet and I'm only 70kg so good power to weight ..Short tracks I think favour 4T but long track 2T..I have just ordered my new Bridgestone YDC for the GP because old Dunlops don't cut it anymore after my crash LOL!

re Hamish: no the TS had different ports, the TF is a bit more farm than trail, but that can be altered. I'm not 100% on gearboxes but I remember that the 100 had 5 speed & the 125 6, at least on the TS. The TS had a long model life. Real old ones had straight piston port & later ones 1/2 reed. The ER range had another revision in it.

The limiting factor in them is the crank that is not really suitable for high revs, though with anything you can do more mods, but we are stepping out of reasonable for most people development. 20hp should keep up with the fast bikes in wgtn if the spread is wide. Ricks bike is light & so is he. + he knows a thing or two, remember he's won the GP before on a fairly std FXR.

[edit] Rick has pretty much duplicated what I took too long to type.

It's pretty much a complete bucket but needs a little love. He said he would sell it for $400. If you bought that even for just the motor you could sell the rims and frame, petrol tank etc and probably get a $200 motor that could potentially be a rocket with some work.
    . . .
I still think this would be a good basis for a econo bucket. Far better than dicking around with an AX100, RX125 or similar. Someone should buy this, it should be able to get on the track with some dedicated work & if keen could be tuned pretty well. Nude's Lonchin was in one of these & it seemed to handle ok.

Cheers for that rick! Have you got a TS or TF?

I have a TF125 6 speed, there was also a 5 speed model. One day it will move, one day in the very far future.

Its a TF ,I did start a TS build I made engine mounts and had the crank cases machined to fit CR85 ignition but run out of time for last years GP and the RG50 with the TF125 engine was for sale and I was looking for a small rolling chassis for my son to ride in F5. He advertised it as a TS so I thought it would go in the RS but when I got it home it was a TF and the cases are different and the taper on the crank is not the same as the TS so I can't us the ignition....Sorry Choppa we seem to have taken over

If Choppa brought that....we are all screwed
WHEN I am famous I will definitely remember: K2 Racing (Wharfy), Ride Life (Alex Hockly), RaceFairings.co.nz (Billy), Motodynamics.co.nz (Shaun Harris), Jeff Whitehead, Moto Academy (Steve), Victoria Motorcycle Club (VMCC), and the Crofts.

Na I love it! I like the idea of the 2stroke.....

From my research it looks like a TM125 top end would bolt straight on a TF then wack a flat slide on and bobs ya uncle. 10hp hahaha

A complete TM top end wouldn't be legal

GP125 Suzuki would be a better idea as it is well documented on here how to get HP fromthem

I would love his 2011 bike, wonder how much he actually wants for it.

Come on now, how many times have I told you that Rangi is much prettier than that bike. AND you don't look like Wanker when you ride him.

I cant see how a complete TM engine wouldnt be allowed? Suzuki TM means Suzuki 'Trail Model' The RM means 'Race Model'
