I should manage to set it straight, could be a problem though. Every time i try to correct it it flexes to a point where it could crack (already has a little)

If you look on the second photo, where the fairing is connected to the bottom of the subframe, you can see the fairing sticking out quite a bit. Everything else sits perfect though haha

Which Tyga kit did you get? Any photos?

yeah i can kinda see what you mean.. that sucks.

i havnt put my kit on, the warping was from a fiberglassed stock tail that i had to get after i crashed my vfr.

Today I gave it an oil/filter change. Put the new disks on the front, gave a few bits and pieces a buff and a quick jab of paint. Discovered there is still white paint under all the grime on the wheels ha. Also put in the new fuel tap. Hopefully this one doesn't fuckin leak.

Disks are a bit of a bastard though, they are thicker than the stock items and I don't know if the pistons are at the bottom of their stroke or just won't return far enough cause there is some rubbing.

Will look at that more closely tomorrow.

It is a good idea to pop the pistons out and give the whole system a bit of a refresh anyway...

Got a quote today for some plastic welding on my beat up fairings. $161 for 2 seat mounting tabs, a crack and a patch to be made. Seemed steep to start with. More I think about it the better it seems.

Also I may have found a cbr250 rim for sale in aus which is about the right price. Should fit the front end of the vfr.

Seems mad I need to go overseas for wheels. I found one vfr front rim for sale here. Dude wants $300 plus freight for it ! Then has a waa when I say I can get one delivered from England for cheaper, that's even paying extortionate prices for shipping. Something about sending money to overseas businesses. I told him he shouldn't try and jew too much out of his countrymen then.

Can't wait to get the spare rims powder coated black and get some fresh rubber on.

I seem to be spending more and more money on bikes. And more. Jesus if I ever get a girlfriend I will probably never eat again ha.

Going to pull the carburetorizers off the vfr this weekend. Do the old drill diaphragm to 2.5mm, upsize the jets and shim the needles out 0.5mm.

Also going to attempt a carb sync. With a few meters of plastic tube and a can-do attitude...

Bikes going to be going better than ever on monday.

That or I'll be walking to work for a while..

    Have a good weekend (:

bloody hell. Starts fine. runs fine, but misses at 9500 to 10500 under load, then revs to redline. FUCK.

stock airbox with foam filter. jets are 115/118, and I put some extra baffling in the zorst.

the two changes are the baffling and I put the stock filter snorkel on it.

    thoughts?

fuel quality or quantity, plugs. take off the snorkel? (debaffling really isnt an option... its still pretty loud)
