A common perception is that an auto clutch is a disadvantage but as you'll see in one of the Rekluse vids they actually increase starts, cornering, lap times, aid in hill climbs and general all round performance plus it acts and responds exactly like a normal clutch anyway:

I can't comment yet, I've just installed one on my DRZ400 but haven't yet run the bike, those who install them though rave about them and won't go back to a standard clutch
Where did you purchase this and what was the cost? The 450 i was looking at in the Nth Island (b4 i bought locally)had one on it apparently. Could be a big advantage from reducing strain on finger joints to avoiding repeated restarts.

The only place you can purchase Rekluse products from NZ is Suttos in Australia > Link. Good service. The price depends on if you want the EXP, Z-Start or Core EXP clutch

    Rekluse clutches

Mark_S to the white courtesy phone, Mark_S to the white courtesy phone.

Mark has one on the KLR & also his WR450.

Taz, I looked a while ago, and am fairly sure you could get a rekluse for the 640 at that stage..

I bought a Rekluse clutch years ago for my YZF250 for mx and trail riding. Worked great. Came out of the states for about $900. Didn't bother with a clutch lever. Was going to mount the rear brake on the clutch side but smashed my ankle and then sold the bike.

Hey that's unfair! Only broken an 2 ankles (7 screws in one about 5 years and the other thanks to Cary in the 90's, who the f@#k stops for a little puddle???) and a finger (1 screw) so far. All been on dirt bikes. Road bikes are safe as.

Well, now that the AT's carbs are sorted I'm lookin at being a starter for the ride again...as long as the Army doesn't have other short notice plans come the new year . Ferry tickets booked.

Probably be quite a good place for the Northerners to arrange tyres for their trips on the way through or back too if they are going to need them.

I just found a new pirelli MT70 130/80x18. I thought these were extinct. Tyres sorted for DB1K now. Just tidying up the 640's wiring. They use some pretty thin wires on these ktm's. Have found some that are happily rubbing them selves away so have installed the anti rub technology...
