Smile GPS files now on web

GPS file (in two versions) are now on the web. I've not created a 50 point version this year as I've not seen anybody using an old GPS unit that would need this version for couple of years. I can create it if necessary.

I've also had a rider kindly convert the roll chart to miles so now there are two more versions of the roll chart on the web for those with imperial odometer bikes.

    Download page here

The miles roll charts have a couple of errors been introduced which have offset the 'goto' cells around the challenge vs main navigation.
Might pay to wait another day for the fix if you plan to use the roll charts done up in miles.
I've only found one small non fatal error remaining in the km charts (#146 intersection isn't actually a T it's a + but the instruction to 'turn left' is correct)

    Thumbs up Friday Christchurch-->Fairlie ride

    Hi Guys,
Thought I'd throw it out there nice and early for those abit further afield than Christchurch who weren't sure of their plans on getting down to Fairlie.
For those unaware, over the last few years I've put together a preDB1K trip from Christchurch to Fairlie on the Friday (20Jan).
Just letting you know that I intend doing the same again this year only I have extended this years route making it a full day ride.
The ride will again involve leaving on mass early Friday from near Christchurch Airport to Fairlie via Orari Gorge Station but this time round I've decided to add the the Glenfalloch / Lake Heron loop into the equation.
I have spoken to all but one landowner involved and have gained access permission, so once all sorted I will start a separate thread
NB:All three separate landowners charge a small access fee to upkeep tracks so there will be a small tariff involved.

Anyway I'll have more info in the new thread (once started) and will answer questions then,(don't want this thread hijacked) this is just a heads up
Get organised and I'll see you Friday!
    Rgds Matt

Ryans idea for a Bike Make Percentage count has been added to the DB1K Riders page, it certainly paints an interesting picture, a very orange field this year closely followed by a swag of Suzukis

As Tim says, you with a Zumo need to download the 199point GPX file to your computer and then upload it with what ever program you usually send stuff to your Zumo with.

AND REMEMBER EVERYONE these files must be used in 'OFF ROAD MODE' did I say that loud enough for everyone??
That will of course be mentioned again at the riders briefing on the Friday evening at the Gladstone as per last time.
