I use this: A Hyperpro RSC active damper. Google the difference between passive and active dampers; basically it increases damping relative to the severity of the shake. It's brilliant on my 98 R1. Not cheap though. I had raised the rear as part of my suspension upgrades so the front was quite prone to shakes. Couldn't hold full throttle over the hump at Hampton, or on bumpy sections of back roads. Now: no problems, pin it and steer. You don't notice the damping, just that it tracks the line you want.
