Last of a dying breed
Same same but different. (There is a story to that saying. Might share it one day). I will drive up to Rotorua on Friday with my youngest boy. He rides MX in Rotorua on Sat morning (School champs). Will not have time to ride all races before we have to drive up to the Speedway. We will allow 4 hours. Stay in Akl the night. On the Sunday, in the CBD, is the Red Bull Endurocross, which'll be worth having a stop at. Not sure about time/where/what/how/if/when etc, but it'll be worth looking into to see if it can slot into your schedule.
I was slack with getting tickets to the Speedway and only got them about a month ago. Wasn't prepared to buy the super expensive tickets, but thought $50 good value & have paid more for some mx/sx events we've been to.

Oh, on the Saturday at the Cloud is a beer festival but no idea what time that starts (Henk was gutted when he found it clashed with the day of speedway)
