that would be a great idea - anyone in any crash who said they didnt see the person should have to do this at their own expense

Fair to say that I'll be making sure that all the i's get dotted and the t's get crossed. I do that with any motorbike crash anyway, coz I give a shit.

Thing is, no matter what happens to the offender, my mans leg is still munted.

    Fuck it.
sorry to hear, hope he heals quickly and is back to riding asap

it's a shame that we cant get/don't see the MC popo on the Hutt motorway during peak period,,, I know they have different 'views' on lane splitting.... however, I see so many bloody cagers driving and texting/talking on cell phones it makes the law a mockery... now I wonder how much that'd change f a popo suddenly appeared beside the car with a quiet 'pull over'???

Mr Crash is being followed by Mr Serious Wound, and is shortly to be followed by Mr Skin Grafts.

He's in a cheery mood, but it's gonna be a long road.

Pity is, he's one of the best riders in the Police, and he is very sympathetic to bikers. That sympathy won't be back until a lot later in the year.

Thanks for all the nice comments. We are part of the bike community, it's nice to have the support.

Don't try suggesting there weren't any.
Sometimes, just sometimes, even professionally trained riders can get "taken out".

And unfortunately even professionally trained riders can have lapses in their observational skills.

Unfortunately "Being Human" is all too often used as an excuse for not trying to better yourself.
