    Stupid rules
If thats the way they do it good luck trying to sell it later. I think its a bad investment buying a 2 smoker if its on the list. The only market for it will be guys with full licence wanting a play bike and they wont pay what a learner would for it because they arnt restricted in what type play bike they buy.

Yep and ill give you 2k for them when learner riders cant buy them. Maybe Hitcher will give you $2500.
I could be wrong but I do think they wont have a good resale market. Rider with full licence after a play bike will grab a late 90s/early 2000 sport 600 rather than them if spending 6k.

    nah, cause a 600 isnt a 2 stroke 250..

I didn't buy a 600. and who knows as the numbers disappear due to said lack of maintenance there will be a few that will want whats left. might keep the price up.

they dont make em like they used ta!

You could be correct but remember if supply (250 2 smoker rockets) exceeds demand (guys wanting a play bike with full licence) prices will fall until the universe is balanced again. Logic says the demand will decrease when learners cant ride them.

Idd be playing on this if I had 6k for a second bike. The 2 smokers I would own. Dont get me wrong but not at todays market value.

If my perfectly good rgv is only worth 2 grand next year i guess i will keep it forever, i dont mind that.
Would mean less 2T on the market, so there value would go back up.

Dont get me wrong, I like 2smokers and its worth what you feel its worth to you but to sell the market value is its price value. I started on rg250f then rg400 then rg500wf. Loved them all but I wouldn't rush out and pay 6k for a 2T before lams change.

You could be very right Mossy, if the 2t market dies, I might buy me an RS or and MC28.

I may also but the thing stoping me is that for the same dollars I could get a 600 at the moment. If a rough rs became 2-3k it would make for a great second bike or even a TZR/RGV/NSR for less. Im thinking maybe rs250 may not drop alot since they are hard to find in good condition and a more desired bike.
