yeah I tend to agree with ya Pete- silly idea.
Whatabout we just stay close to coffee- I mean ride hard up in Hira & leave the long distance till it warms up. Besides which I put my special offorad only knob on last nite & don't want to wreck it riding over there.
I put it on last nite when it was cold etc & found out that if I take my time, think about it, use gravity to its' advantage & don't fight it the tyre will actually go on reasonably ok.- took best part of n hour tho - not exactly ISDE

I'll put my trials tyre back on unless a local bike shop has a Shinko 705 dirt master extreme rear for me.

I'm gonna pull the pin on Sturdays ride- I'm coming down with the flu & a hard ride will knock me out for a week. If anything I will do a soft ride on Schmidtty.

Good point. If you're feeling a bit "coldish" at the start of the ride, you'd be feeling a bit "warmed up death" that's been kicked in the NADS by the end

There'll be pushing involved and I'm not sure if one track actually comes out in Hira or the Akatarawa's.

    I can't wait

Prob last time where I was all fresh& inspired on a Tuesday nite & made rash promises for the weekend until my customers, hard manual work, unceasing paperwork & household responsibilities etc sucked all the life out of my marrow.
Please could you all play the violins in unison now
Let me know what you guys are doing & I'll see how I feel on the day. Nads rides usually root me on the best of days

    That was a fun ride.
I'm not facially prepped for winter yet either.

Even The Emporium doesn't have any 18" fronts.

It does however have a part worn Kenda 760 17" knobbly rear if you need one...

Cheers but needs to be 18", got a rear from Murray Thorns, just need a front now, or a skinny rear, not fussy.

    Sharlands Carpark 11:00?
You'll have to hang a hard right at the caretakers and head up and around Sharlands/Central Rd down to the carpark.
