From the man himself: Ben Spies ‏@BenSpies11

“After Qatar, Assen, Laguna and here, I don't even have to say anything. All I can do [is] give my 100 and that's not working, but I thank [you for your] support.”

Stoner is tough. Respect to him and Crutchlow — and all those crazy riders — who get up and race with those injuries.

A little more on the Ben Spies/Yamaha thing...

They're all tough bastrads for sure. Even without serious injuries...simply getting thrown off those things at the speeds they do...and getting straight back on them as if nothing happened is tough.

And what can you say 'bout Spies's luck? The smoke screen from it was awesome!

Do you see the on board shot from Bradl's bike?
I think Stoner went wide to avoid any oil, but Bradl never buttoned off...

Yeah, I'm trying to find images of it — 'twas a massive puff when it went off. The onboard footage from Lorenzo's M1 showing how quickly he moved aside from the smoke was great too.

    Edit: Here's one image.

Yeah it was unreal eh! Pretty freaky to suddenly lose sight of the track at those speeds I bet.

A Japanese bike shouldn't do that - who is going to fall on his sword for that?

Anybody know why JL was running with double thickness pucks on the left side? I noticed that Val was as well, and I think I remember seeing someone else too, just can't remember who. I know that they often run with double thickness in the wet, but why in the dry? And why on the left side when its a predominately left-hand track?
Disclaimer: I don't actually know what I'm talking about and everything I say should be taken as words of wisdom from a armchair general/mechanic/engineer/racer.
