Can't be comparing cars to bikes mate. Chain or belt is by far still the best way to go for bikes as compared to shafts etc.

Seems strange to me more bike companys havent jumped onto belt drive or even people made conversions for bikes

I mean i love belt drive be more contant contact no maintenace am not sure you have to ajust them though

Belt drive was used on the KR250s they ran in the States but I'll bet my left one that Ballington and Mang both used chain drive in their title wins.

That would make sense to me now. Thought they all ran belts. My bad. Maybe with the American market having the LTD750 cruiser with belt drive they felt the need to prove how good/versatile it was? Or was that after the KR's time? I know the later GPZ305's etc used belt.
