Sharry has been in an accident

I popped in to see Sharon with my fiance in tow. Man, I couldn't get over how she was responding! I was gobsmacked to be having as pleasant a conversation with her as I would normally do! She had all sorts of metal bling wired into her and I think the most excellent droogs were taking her to happy la la land (mmm morphine!)

nzspokes was there and if it wasn't for the fact that Sharry had been in a fight with physics and the road, it was almost normal!

Dropped off a little Repsol 'blade as inspiration for her next bike and the obligatory pot o'flowers, good to see she was in good hands and with such a positive attitude.

So g'wan peeps, get in there and give her your love, humour and support!

Update on updates about Sharon.

Guys Im finding it to hard to keep multiple updates in multiple places going. Sorry, its just to much. So for constant updates please request to join the Fat Bikers Group on Facebook. I will be keeping that one going.

Sorry to those wanting to know, but ive been on 2 to 3 hours sleep a night to keep on top of things and cant do it anymore. Please feel free to update those that visit. I will when I can.

Thanks Gijoe1313, she loves the bike. Its in pride of place on her little table. She was buzzing to have seen you guys. Sorry I was a bit quiet, very tired.

With all you have to juggle you'd better focus more on looking after yourself. No need to apologise to anyone - you have a lot to cope with right now so only do what is manageable. As it sounds like Sharry is up for visitors now I'm sure plenty of kb'ers will take up the call to update the rest of us here.

Rob, no need to apologise, you're handling a tough situation and making sure Sharon only gets the best from you. Now you need to sort yourself out a bit and get some of that sleep back. Got a ways to go!

The great thing is that Sharry has plenty of people that will support her and keep her from going bonkers confined in hospital!

GSXRTrace and I popped in to the hospital to see Sharry last night just after 7.

We spied the Repsol Fireblade scale model that Gijoe1313 had delivered and the conversation inevitably turned to the usual Hornet Swarm jokes about 2 dirty gixer riders being allowed amongst polite society and how did we get past hospital security. We travel in packs dontcha know!

We talked about all sorts of stuff, and I also passed on a get well soon message from my kids who remembered that Sharry was the nice lady who'd given them an awesome bubble blower a couple of years back.

Sharry seemed to be in good spirits despite her injuries and said she was amazed at all the support she's been getting from KBers

question in back of mind tho ...... her financial situation?? as I know these things (even tho hospital is free) do bring many varied financial stresses for quite a while afterward. do we as a community need to look at a donation pool being set up for her and those effected around her??

Cheers. Im not sure of that as yet. Yes there are some issues but for the next week we have to deal with a hospital transfer, more surgery and the Police.
