Not a fan of the Ninja, too much of a "race" bike for me. I have a bad back so need a more upright position. Fallen off too many horses of the four legged variety

    Here's a thought. RUN AWAY!

It's a 250 single, even if it goes really friggin well, I'm afraid it's gonna be total shit.

Given the options available to a learner these days, that bike is throwing six grand down the toilet.

THIS is betterer. One listed for $5000+ too. Lower mileage & newer.
A mate had one at the same time as i had the Pegaso, the Peg had the legs most of the time but the Dommie proved to be unstoppable & unbreakable, well, easily repairable... IYKWIM

Thanks for sharing. Looks too much like a farm bike for me, and I'm not a fan of the headlight. (I'm a female, that means I'm allowed to be super fussy lol!)

Nuff said!! The Dommie is a true classic, though & will hold it's value. They are a lower in the seat too.

    Don't do it !

I spoke with a dealer he said didn't know what to do with the 250' he has in stock... nobody wants them anymore because of the new license laws. Go bigger CC it will hold the value and run smoother than a single cylinder 250 running at high revs.
Just my thought , your money your choice

I would prefer something bigger, just thought it was worth looking at. Not often you see a brand new bike at that price. Would have been a definate option if I wasn't planning on doing alot of road trips...

Get a Scorpio, that's a 225cc single... Better value, costs heaps less, more or equal fun, and less worries.

This Daelim is probably not too bad, but for that price, it's sorely under-equipped...

True it is cheap for a new bike but not sure if adapt for doing road trips. For that budget I would look into a bmw f650 or transalp, very easy bikes, cheap to run, comfortable... but than again one guy did Sidney - London on a postie bike !

I wouldn't personally buy a new 250. But then I wouldn't personally buy a brand new bike, depreciation sucks.

As for the Daelim, I haven't read anything particularly bad about it as far as it goes, but looking at the specs it is not exactly awe-inspiring at 25 hp - for a sports 250 that's pretty poor IMHO, although perhaps par for the course in the modern world.
