I have been collecting bits and pieces for my new build, and have finally made some progress towards blending them all together.
Frame and swing arm are mc18
Engine is TF125
Forks are vfr400 shortened to 700mm
Shock is R6 Yamaha
17" rear wheel spoils the rake of the forks but the longer shock and shorter forks seem to bring it back somewhere near where it should be
Hoping to have it running for Tokoroa

Why can I see what looks like a reedvalve conversion in the darkness? Or is it more RGV150 than Mudbug?
Looks nice. R6 shock will be oversprung/damped quite somewhat.

No RGV, all Mudbug. Have made it full Crankcase reed no piston port inlet.
Spring rate is actually lighter than std nsr - diffferent linkage system I guess but feels ok so far. Sag seems about right to start with anyhoo.

oh yeah good point. I guess its a 125, never occurred to me (even though said at the top, used to 100s in the old days with TFs). Looks like a ally sleeve possibly pinned on the right & cut for the needle jet.

Really? I would have said 1KT (or 2MA which is the same) I thought the 3XVs had 34s or something, but that queer protrusion under the PJ tube is odd. . ..Hmm ok seems the Rs had 28s, but the SPs had 36s.
Does that protrusion hole need plugging? I suspect it leads to an air solenoid like on a Jap model RGV & is meant to open when idling for emissions reasons. I'd bung it up for first try.
