I counted 36 or 34 as two people (Racing Dave and ADVGD) posted info here but didn't actually say they wanted in.
I also counted the one who posted in the old thread that was used last time, one for Orari only and a "maybe" or two.

What he said, I am keeping an eye on numbers, have told station owners that will be around the forty mark, if it climbs any higher I'll just go faster and lose a few

Thinking I might have to put a rough route map together but not going to go the whole hog with mileages etc..most of the guys who have put their names down did the route last year so shouldn't (famous last words) get lost. Thou's that haven't we'll try to buddy them up.
Fully intend the pace to be slower than the "DB", would like the ride to be fairly social with a compulsory beer at Mayfield etc that way we can have a good night in Fairlie

Not sure where this came from, but I'll be making my own way to Fairlie. See you there.

Too late, you're already registered plus you have been nominated to buy everyone a beer at the Mayfield pub

I'll be joining you all, I wasn't sure if I was coming up from the south or coming down from north; the plan is to head down from the north so will join up with you all in Chch. The tack on route (plus Macauly hut night) will be the following day after the DB1K, I'll post details in the other thread for those interested, one last land owner to track down at this stage

Closest it gets to Methven would be the intersection (Blackford Rd and SHW77) mentioned in the next quotes... Suggest you meet and talk with MXNUT when in Methven.

This year I think it would be better if I text a team leader of any group overnighting in Methven etc...otherwise about 10:30 but be there earlier as 30-35 of us won't be waiting for one or two

To avoid any waiting around like u had last year, do you want to post or private message me your cellphone, that way I can bang you off a text when we are say at the Waimak Gorge Bridge (20mins from Blackford Rd) then theres not so a rush for you to get away early
