Had a beer after the International at Teretonga with Jim Clark, Bruce McLaren and another. (Can't remember who... Possibly Jack Brabham, Denny Hulme or Angus Hislop). It was JC's last trip down under as he was killed shortly afterwards. Not sure, but I think BM was killed the same year. Late 60's. Also have Stirling Moss' autograph.

Bill Hohepa. I went fishing with him when I was younger (12 years old) on kapiti island. He's, well, a bit of a grumpy fella (that was probably because I caught more fish than him and beat him a poker).
I've also meet Gary Kemsley (for those that do surf fishing), nice guy. I would love to go for a fish with him sometime when I'm in his neck of the woods.
I laid some carpet for him a few years ago when lived at Snells beach...he asked if I wanted some lunch, I said ''well I was just going to go down the road and get a pie''...his reply was ''do you eat fish''?.. hell yeah!
Thought ''I might be in for a treat here''...ahhhhhhh wrong, he opened up a tin of salmon![]()
