Ideally a non ABS braking system should be adjusted so as to never lock up in the dry, on seal
I would adjust my brakes constantly[at least weekly]
creating a faux ABS system in effect
The lever pulled all the way in should not cause wheel lock at normal road speeds, in dry on seal
For this system to be effective though, minimal travel of the lever is necessary. Also a pillion or baggage[or burger caused weight gain] would require an adjustment
The type of lever that lets you adjust lever travel, as well as cable length adjustment allows this
Peeps would ride my bike and freak on the brakes, yet I remain adamant that this method is the safest, especially in emergency hard lever grabs... no lockup
bossladys WOF guy fucked up
Churches are monuments to self importance
You know the thing behind the foot/rear brake, its called a foot peg/rest. You should try resting your foot there for a change.
As for why he adjusted it, how did you stall using the footbrake? You should be using the front when letting out the clutch - both feet on ground at take off.
Or did he adjust it to the point where it was ALWAYS ON? At which case why did you ride all the way home like that?
Reactor Online. Sensors Online. Weapons Online. All Systems Nominal.
No shit Sherlock. That is where my feet normally rest if not using my brake or gear lever. But it's normal practice for many to ride the clutch and rear brake when going veeeeeeeeeeeery slooooow, catch up won't you? I didnt stall because of the rear brake, Use your head. The bike stopped sooner than it would normally therefore the clutch was not pulled in enough hence stalling, Dur. And since when SHOULD I be doing what you say, Are you the Bike police? I often have my right Foot up on take off, Shock horror. I only stalled when slowing down at the end of The drive, Not on take off, Why would I have my brakes on when I want to go?
You tell me. I never took it there.
Becoming fearless isn't the point. That's impossible. It's learning how to control your fear, and how to be free from it.
